We at Just Ducky Behavioral Health in Linthicum, MD, believe that therapy should be collaborative and while we bring the knowledge of psychology and distance from the situation you bring your own expertise. You are the expert on YOU!

Therapy does not have to be boring. It is our belief that therapy should be fun and so counseling is provided while we laugh, tell stories, and go about addressing issues with an out of the box approach. Even though laughter is important there will be times when you may cry (or at least want to) as we may address issues that can be challenging to talk about. Please know that we will go at your pace.

ABOUT US

Just Ducky Behavioral Health was started as a telehealth only provider in the state of Maryland. We started seeing clients part-time July 2022 and full-time in October 2022. In April 2023 we opened the doors to our physical office located in Linthicum, Maryland.  We are continuing to grow and develop new programs. At our 1 year anniversary in October we started offering Case Management services and are hoping to bring on more counselors and to expand our programs and add more community outreach. 

Where did our name come from?

When looking for a name for the practice I remembered a time while in graduate school for counseling I was told by my father that counselors and psychiatrists were nothing but a bunch of quacks. That started my love of ducks. Since then, my father has changed his opinion of the benefits of counseling. In honor of his growth, and just because I am silly, Just Ducky was chosen.

Many people begin with thinking that therapy is a "quack" profession. As part of our mission, we seek to break down those barriers and overcome the stigma of mental health.
